Todd Kelly has come out of the blocks fastest in his Nissan Altima in the early running at the sydney.com V8 Supercars Test Day.

Wet weather greeted the teams for their first run this morning, so Kelly's 1min47.4751 is a way off the 1min29.2493 qualifying lap record at the circuit, set by Craig Lowndes in 2012 on a Dunlop hard tyre.

Jason Bright in his Team BOC Commodore follows with the second fastest time, a 1min47.8553, with Rick Kelly (pictured), Will Davison and Craig Lowndes in the top five.

The first Ford is David Reynolds in 10th.

The weather is easing and times are dropping as more V8 Supercars are unleashed on the cirucit, some with co-drivers behind the wheel. Greg Murphy and Warren Luff are suited up at Holden Racing Team, Murph having turned some laps already with the #22 holding the ninth quickest time. Tony D'Alberto is suited up and looking to jump in the Supercheap Auto Commodore next door.
