The fight for Shell V-Power Racing Team championship bragging rights will come down to the wire in Adelaide.

Heading to the VALO Adelaide 500, Will Davison leads Anton De Pasquale by 22 points.

Davison and De Pasquale are fourth and fifth overall with just 300 points remaining.

After Bathurst, De Pasquale was 125 points ahead of Davison, who crashed out of the Great Race.

Chaz Mostert jumped both Ford drivers on the Gold Coast, which was a tough outing for De Pasquale.

De Pasquale was sixth in the Saturday, but was disqualified from Sunday’s race.

With Davison finishing third, the intra-team points fight took another twist in the #17's favour.

Should Davison finish ahead, he will have a 2-0 record over De Pasquale.

Davison was fourth in 2021, with De Pasquale sixth despite winning more races.

Davison has been the stronger of the two in 2022 — he has nine poles to De Pasquale’s three, and three wins to De Pasquale’s one.

Davison has 14 podiums to De Pasquale’s 10 — De Pasquale hasn’t finished on the podium since Sandown in August.

De Pasquale held second overall for much of 2022 before dropping behind Cam Waters.

Waters is now favourite to be Ford's highest-placed driver, helping Tickford Racing achieve the feat for the first time since 2016.

Davison and De Pasquale are 118 and 140 points behind Mostert respectively.

For Davison, Adelaide looms as an all-out attack event, given both titles have been secured.

“We’ve got nothing to lose now,” Davison said.

“You go with the pace you’ve got, and Adelaide will be the same.

“It’s a full glory race, really. We’re all going for it, but that’s what we do every weekend, but nothing’s different.

“We’re going there to win, and go out on a high. Can’t wait to get back there, it’s an awesome event.

“Sandown, New Zealand, we had some great race-winning speed.

“Adelaide, I dunno… new surface, a few unknowns until we get there.

“We’ll be going all out.”

The 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will conclude on the Adelaide streets on December 1-4.
