Will Davison has kicked off his 40th birthday celebrations in style.

The Shell V-Power Racing ace rang in his big day with a party on the Gold Coast over the weekend.

Davison, a veteran of 18 Bathurst starts, enjoyed the soiree with wife Riana Crehan at Surfers Pavilion on Saturday.

Fellow Supercars drivers and long-term friend Jamie Whincup attended the event.

Other drivers and motorsport identities attended the party, including two-time Moto GP World Champion Casey Stoner.

The festivities featured a #17 Shell V-Power Mustang birthday cake with attendees all given a mask of Davison's face.

The Dick Johnson Racing driver, who will turn 40 on Tuesday, was taken aback by the thoughtful celebrations.

“A little speechless and incredibly humbled by such an amazing birthday party last night,” Davison said.

“I can’t thank my amazing wife

@rianacrehan enough for arranging such a beautiful night, you are my everything and you always go above and beyond for me.

“So many thoughtful gestures and so much effort into the evening.

“It was such a wonderful night, a huge thank you to everyone who made it along and made the night so special.

“I’m hugely appreciative for all the love.”

It comes after the DJR veteran won the Penrite Oil Sandown SuperSprint opener earlier this month.

The #17 Shell V-Power Mustang netted its second win of the season, marking Davison’s first Sandown race win in 13 years.

He ended his weekend with second in the finale.

It topped off a remarkable Sunday for the two-time Bathurst winner, who overcame an electrical fire in Race 25 qualifying to start Race 26 from pole.

The results see Davison sitting just three points ahead of teammate Anton De Pasquale in the standings.

The Supercars paddock and fans were quick to send their well wishes to the birthday boy.

Davison celebrated his 40th birthday on the Gold Coast

"The absolute BEST night with my BEST people for my BEST person," Crehan posted.

"Happy Birthday mate,” added Rick Kelly.

Davison sits third in the standings heading to New Zealand next month.
