The V8 Supercar Commission has mandated a minimum of 185 litres be used by each car in each race at next weekend’s ARMOR ALL Gold Coast 600.
The Commission voted on this as the most appropriate way to achieve equal parity for all teams contesting the Gold Coast event. It will mean teams will need to pit twice, which has been the case in past Gold Coast events, during each 300km race. Teams can reach their minimum fuel intake in any combination they choose.
The Commission voted in favour of this ruling specific to the ARMOR ALL Gold Coast 600.
This differs from the mandated number of pit stops for the Wilson Security Sandown 500 (4) and Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 (7) where a mandated minimum fuel intake was difficult to manage at an operational level.
