The weekend also attracted the second biggest crowd in the history of Australia's famous race.

A crowd of 195,261 headed to Mount Panorama across the four days of the event, the biggest attendance only behind the 50 Year Anniversary celebrations of 2012.

The attendance was up by 6.4 per cent on last year and exceeded the 193,647 people that attended the 2006 event just one month after the passing of Peter Brock.
