Supercars’ long-awaited return to Queensland Raceway grew a step closer to reality on Monday, with the announcement that Century Batteries will serve as naming rights partner of August’s Ipswich Super 440.
The event will be Supercars’ first visit to ‘the Paperclip’ since 2019, and will also serve as the final event of the Sprint Cup phase of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season.
At the end of this year’s Ipswich event, the championship leader will earn automatic entry to the Supercars Finals series, one of the key new features of the 2025 championship.
Another intriguing story for 2025 will be Brodie Kostecki’s debut with Dick Johnson Racing, as the 2023 Supercars champion and 2024 Bathurst 1000 winner moves to the famed Shell Ford squad after four years at Erebus Motorsport.
Kostecki donned his Shell V-Power uniform for the first time as he joined Supercars and Century Batteries representatives at Queensland Raceway as part of this morning’s announcement.
The August event in Ipswich is shaping up as a spectacular addition to the 2025 calendar, with fresh circuit upgrades being installed around the venue in preparation for Supercars’ return to the 3.1-kilometre circuit.
The 2025 Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440 will host Races 23–25 of the Repco Supercars Championship with tickets and corporate hospitality options available via Supercars.com and Ticketek.
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season kicks off February 21-23 with the Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park, with Supercars races each of the three days of the event.
The 2025 season opener will be broadcast live on Foxtel and the Seven Network, with live streaming available on Kayo and 7plus. Tickets and corporate hospitality options for the Sydney 500 can be purchased via Supercars.com and Ticketek.
