Brad Jones Racing’s dominance of the 2023 PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge continues after the betr Darwin Triple Crown, but Triple Eight Race Engineering has made a move up the leaderboard to put pressure on the Albury-squad with two rounds remaining.

Heading into the recent Darwin round, the defending Champions BJR held down the top two spots on the leaderboard for quickest pit stops, led by the crew who manage Andre Heimgartner’s R&J Batteries Camaro and Bryce Fullwood’s Middy’s Camaro.

The white and red duo of Macauley Jones Pizza Hut Camaro and Jack Smith’s SCT Logistics Camaro were second heading into the Hidden Valley round but are now third following the success of stops by the Red Bull Ampol Racing squad.

As it now stands Broc Feeney and Shane van Gisbergen’s Banyo-squad are now second, just five points behind Heimgartner and Fullwood.

Jones and Smith are third, two points behind the Red Bulls, while retaining their spot in the all-important top four is the Penrite Racing duo of David Reynolds and Matt Payne.

The PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge has just two rounds to run before the top four on the basis of those in-race pit stops go into a live, head-to-head final.

Once again, the winning team wins $30,000 and the PIRTEK Golden Rattle Gun Trophy.

The Albury-based BJR team is unbeaten since it first won the challenge in 2019.

The PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge returns at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight next month before the final round is held at the OTR SuperSprint. View the current standings here.
