Chaz Mostert and Cam Waters to reunite as teammates at Bathurst 12 Hour
Mostert, Waters to team up with Thomas Randle in Mercedes-AMG GT3 in February
Trio first confirmed entry for 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour
For the first time since 2019, Chaz Mostert and Cam Waters are set to become teammates once again, and will share a car for the first time since 2015.
The former Tickford teammates, combined with Waters' current Supercars teammate Thomas Randle will combine for an all-Supercars line-up at February's Bathurst 12 Hour at the helm of a Mercedes-AMG GT3.
The Scott Taylor Motorsport entry is the first confirmed entry for the 2026 12 Hour, and is set to to go up against some of the world's best GT drivers and teams in the outright Pro class.
It will mark the first time that Mostert will drive a Mercedes in Australia's International Enduro, having steered a Ferrari to fourth in this year's event, and claimed pole for BMW in 2018, and Audi in 2022.
“I’ve been into the 12 Hour plenty of times and it's one that's always seemed to elude me, especially for the outright win,” Mostert said.
“This opportunity to come up with Scotty Taylor and join with Cam and Tom … it's going to be really cool to have a full Supercars line-up.
“Scotty runs a really, really tight ship. Every program he ever gets behind looks world class and I'm really excited to mix it up and try something a little bit different than what I had the last couple of years and see if we can get that win.
“There's more international teams and superstar drivers come over for it, so I feel like this is one of my best opportunities to try and go there and win it with some great co-drivers and a fantastic team”
Waters and Randle meanwhile are incumbents in the STM Mercedes, having teamed up with Craig Lowndes for the past two editions of the 12 Hour in the #222 Mercedes.
After finishing on the lead lap in seventh in 2024, the car was an early retirement this year following an uncharacteristic crash for Lowndes in The Esses an hour and a half into the race.
“I’m really excited to be returning with STM again to have a crack at the Bathurst 12 Hour with Tom and Chaz next year,” Waters said.
“Having Chaz on board is going to be really cool. It’s a really good driver line-up and we know our car is very fast so I think we got a good shot.
“Scotty is super passionate and wants to win the 12 hour. He throws absolutely everything at it and I think we've genuinely got a good shot at being at the front. We're going to throw everything at it and we'll see where we come out at the end.”
Randle added: “I’m really excited to be back once again with STM in the #222 for the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour.
“I’m very thankful for the opportunity over the last two years teaming up with STM and Ash Seward Motorsport and I’m really looking forward to heading back to the mountain for a third time.
“We had some great speed this year, and to be partnering with my mate Cam Waters once again is fantastic. To have Chaz Mostert onboard for the 2026 assault is really going to be something special … Another full Aussie line up for the 12 Hour in the outright Pro class is something everyone can get behind.”
All three are among Ford's leading contenders for next weekend's Repco Bathurst 1000, with Waters currently second in the Ryco Enduro Cup standings alongside Mark Winterbottom in the #6 Monster Mustang.
Mostert will team up with Fabian Coulthard in the #25 Mobil 1 Optus Mustang, whilst Randle will be partnered by James Moffat in the #55 Castrol Mustang.
The 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour will be held from February 13-15.
