From 12:01am Friday 24th October to 7pm Sunday 26th October, the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 event precinct will be secured, and entry will be via Resident Access Pass or a valid event ticket only.
If you reside within the event precinct, and will be at your residence across October 24-26 2025, you will need to apply for resident access. The purpose of Resident Access Passes is to allow those within the Event Precinct to enter their homes during the event.
It is vital that you always wear your resident access wristband, as you will be required to show it to security to re-enter the event precinct through any of the event gates. Your co-operation with these procedures will limit delays and frustrations on the event weekend.
Resident access applications will open online from Monday 1 September. All residents living within the restricted event precinct must apply online if they require access during the event period. Refer to the restricted event precinct zone.
Please ensure your application is submitted as early as possible to avoid delays. Please keep in mind we receive a high volume of applications, your patience in waiting to hear from us is appreciated. Approved resident passes can be collected from the Accreditation Centre.
During the event weekend, vehicle access within the precinct will be restricted. Between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, all vehicles must be parked either in private garages or outside the event precinct. Vehicle entry and exit will not be possible during these hours.
Please note:
Street parking will not be available within the event precinct.
Any vehicles left on the street from 6:30 am onwards will be towed at the owner's expense.
This includes streets within the precinct but not on the racetrack, such as Ferny Avenue, Cable Street, and Pacific Avenue.
To avoid towing, ensure your vehicle is moved before 6:30 am on event days.
Alternate Parking Option for On-Track Residents: Main Beach Parking Passes
The City of Gold Coast will activate the Main Beach Traffic Area over the weekend, enforcing a 2-hour timed parking zone
Resident event parking permits (Main Beach Parking Passes) are distributed by Supercars—residents do not need to apply.
These permits grant extended parking within the designated 2-hour Event Parking zones, but do not override existing City of Gold Coast parking signs. Always check local signage before parking.
The 2-hour parking restrictions apply only during the event weekend, specifically from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on:
Friday, 24 October
Saturday, 25 October
Sunday, 26 October
If your business is located within the event precinct and you need staff or contractor passes for the event weekend, please apply using the link below.
For the safety of all attendees, certain items will not be permitted within the restricted access zones during the event period. Notable changes are:
Alcohol & Glass Policy:
Open full-strength alcoholic beverages and glass bottles are prohibited in the event precinct except in private homes or accommodations from 7am to 7pm on October 24 – 26.
Prohibited Objects Policy
No prohibited items may be brought into the event precinct without promoter permission. Prohibited items will be posted at each declared area entry point or available upon request.
Smoking
Designated smoking areas are marked throughout the precinct, smoking is not permitted in the precinct outside of these areas. Residents may smoke within the perimeter of their building.
Pets
From 12:01am Friday 24th October to 12:01am Monday 27th October, no pets are allowed into the Macintosh Island area (service animals are permitted). Pets are allowed to be taken outside nearby their building for the purpose to go to their bathroom or to be taken out of the event precinct. However, they should not be taken out for the purpose to walk or explore the event precinct.

The AfterHours StayBand is a physical wristband used to identify non-residents who require access to the event precinct after hours. The AfterHours StayBand requires a VALID EVENT TICKET to be used IN CONJUCTION for entry into the event precinct.
The AfterHours StayBand is generally issued (but not limited) to:
Holiday Makers: Guests staying temporarily within the event precinct require an AfterHours StayBand to enter the precinct and return to their accommodation at any time, including outside of general event hours. *
Additional Friends/Family of Permanent Residents: If a resident has used all their allocated Resident Access Wristbands, they may purchase AfterHours StayBands for extra guests. *
*A valid event ticket is still required for all additional guests.
AfterHours StayBands are not Resident Access Passes. A valid event ticket is still required with an AfterHours StayBand. They are available for guests at $25.00 each and are valid for 3 days. Please note single day purchases are not available for the AfterHours StayBand.
Important notes are:
The AfterHours StayBand is not a spectator pass – it allows movement through the event precinct with the principle that it entitles access into respective buildings.
If a Guest is entering the precinct After Hours without both a AfterHours StayBand and a valid event ticket, they will be denied entry at precinct checkpoints.
AfterHours StayBands can be arranged through your accommodation provider or by contacting the event’s accreditation team at [email protected]
The AfterHours StayBand separates the general public from those who are staying / visiting buildings in the event precinct.
