Teenager Lincoln Taylor is the latest Walkinshaw junior to break into the DUNLOP Super2 Series, joining Matt Chahda Motorsport in Perth.
Initially a one-off deal, 18-year-old Taylor has quickly emerged as one to watch in the future off the back of a strong run in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia GR Cup in 2025.
Taylor’s first foray into go-karting came through a pop-up karting circuit at his local shopping centre, where he was encouraged to enter competitive karting, winning state titles soon after.
He dabbled with international open wheelers in 2022 and 2023, participating in the Ferrari Driver Academy Asia Pacific and Oceania Selection Program, turning heads of senior Ferrari F1 staff along the way.
Taylor switched to the Supercars pathway in 2024 when he joined the GR Cup field, with a series of impressive performances including a front row start in his first-ever visit to Mount Panorama.
He was signed to the Walkinshaw Foundation Academy for the 2025 GR Cup, and finished second in the standings with four race wins. Taylor stepped up to Porsche Sprint Challenge in 2026, and now moves one step closer to Supercars in an ex-Walkinshaw Commodore.
Renowned talent spotter Paul Morris has also been in Taylor's corner from the age of 11.
