Craig Woods’ racing journey has featured a move from small vehicles to much larger ones.
His career began in Superkarts, where he finished second in the 2011 NSW State Championship before progressing to Aussie Racing Cars.
Woods adapted rapidly to the nippy handling of the Aussie Racing Car, finishing in the top 10 in his debut season and subsequently recording championship results of eighth, eighth, third, second and fifth.
Through his Western Sydney Motorsport connection, Woods made his V8 Utes debut in 2016 in a partial campaign before participating in more rounds during '17, finishing on the podium at Queensland Raceway.
Throughout his Aussie Racing Car campaigns, consistency has been one of Woods’ strengths, and it was something he put to good use during last year’s SuperUtes season, in a Western Sydney Motorsport Toyota Hilux.
Woods won three rounds, two of which were achieved without a race victory, and he led the standings for much of the season before falling just short of Ryal Harris.
Woods is back for his second SuperUtes season in 2019, again campaigning a WSM Toyota Hilux.
