20-year-old Queenslander Ben Gomersall continues his rapid rise through the ranks with a maiden Supercars appearance at Ipswich for Tickford.
Now in his second season of Super2, Gomersall has had quite the apprenticeship, debuting with Triple Eight last year before joining Tickford Autosport this season.
He turned heads with a debut Super2 podium in Sydney last year, before beating full-time Supercars graduate and Triple Eight teammate Jackson Walls to the rookie of the year title.
Gomersall is also a multiple race winner in the TA2 Muscle Car Series, and has also been a class winner at the Bathurst 6 Hour alongside Aaron Seton and father Jason Gomersall.
Prior to that, he started his car racing journey in Hyundai Excels in 2020, before making his first steps into Toyota 86s the following season.
A season of consistent top 10 finishes in the 2024 Toyota GR Cup launched Gomersall into the Super2 Series.
Gomersall will also appear at the AirTouch 500 at The Bend, with Super2 teammate Campbell Logan to serve as co-driver.
