Bathurst party announced for New Zealand fans
In a Supercars first, Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium will host the biggest off-site event ever organised for the Repco Bathurst 1000.
In a win for New Zealand fans, a festival-style one-day Bathurst Boot Party, which will be backed by Repco, will take place at Mt Smart Stadium on race day.
Motorsport fans will have the chance follow the likes of 2020 winner Shane van Gisbergen, four-time winner Greg Murphy and potentially three-time series champion Scott McLaughlin live on the 212m2 LED screen at Mt Smart Stadium.
The official screening will be complemented by a festival style set-up across the venue with live entertainment, motorsport activations and demos, special guests, competitions, classic car displays including actual classic Supercars and an exclusive After Party.
It will be the first event of its kind outside of Australia, and will be endorsed by Bathurst Council.
Unique packages will be available for VIPs and groups of 10, with corporate hospitality options available in exclusive suites and lounges.
Indoor and outdoor ticket options will be available, with family friendly, kids amusement and chill out zones also on site at the newly opened Lilyworld Garden Bar.
A range of tickets are on offer – fans can watch the race from the comfort of a beanbag or picnic blanket on the main field from $25 (early bird) to $200 for VIP access in a corporate suite.
Entry to the grandstand and the main field is free for children under the age of 14 who are accompanied by a paying adult.
Tickets go on sale in NZ from 2pm (New Zealand time) today, Tuesday 10 August and are available from Ticketek.
Supercars CEO Sean Seamer has thanked Auckland Stadiums, a division of Auckland Unlimited, for the initiative.
"This is a brilliant way for fans to take in the atmosphere of our great race, from within one of Auckland’s premier venues,” Seamer said.
"The concept is a great way for fans of all kinds to come out and enjoy everything the Repco Bathurst 1000 has to offer.
"We will have live crosses from the venue broadcast around the world as millions of fans tune in to watch this year’s great race.

James Parkinson, Director of Auckland Stadiums, says the initiative is a welcome opportunity to open the gates of Mt Smart Stadium to the community to cheer on their sporting favourite and showcase supercars.
