Dunlop

Supercars continue to stick with Dunlop for the 22nd year as the series Official Control Tyre. Dunlop Tyres are the exclusive tyre of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship and the 2023 Dunlop Series, which combines the Super2 and Super3 categories.

This year Dunlop will provide approximately 14,000 Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres in four specifications tailored to different track surfaces and race formats to ensure competitive and exciting Supercars racing.

The four specifications are Soft, SuperSoft, Hard and a wet-weather tyre.

Dunlop played a pivotal role in supporting the development of the new generation of Supercars by tailoring the range of Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres. As Supercars now weigh less, 8 of the 12 rounds will be on Soft compound tyres, removing the requirement of Hard compound tyres. Hard tyres will only be in use for Supercars at the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 at the Australian Grand Prix.

A new compound wet tyre is also being introduced to better suit the lighter construction of the new Supercars and will provide increased grip in wet conditions.

This year, tyres for the Repco Supercars in Bathurst will again feature pink sidewall branding to support Dunlop’s partnership with National Breast Cancer Foundation, and raising awareness of breast cancer during October.

Kevin Fitzsimons and the Dunlop Motorsport Operations team are an integral part of the Supercars paddock. They join with race teams to travel around Australia providing on-track tyre fitting/stripping of tyres at each Supercars event, delivering unparalleled service, expertise and support to race teams.

Dunlop is synonymous with industry-leading innovation in tyres and motorsport and immensely proud of our heritage in supporting and developing motorsport talent from grass-root categories through to the Supercars Championship. As one of Supercars longest partners, we’re so excited for the next generation of racing in 2023 and beyond.

DUNLOP SERIES

Dunlop has been the official naming rights partner of the Dunlop Super2 Series since 2012 – won in that year by triple Supercar Driver’s Champion Scott McLaughlin. Now 11 years later we are proud to incorporate both Super2 and Super3 categories for the 2021 Dunlop Series.

The Dunlop Series now featuring ZB Commodores and Ford Mustangs will race on Hard compound Dunlop Sports Maxx tyres throughout their 6-event Championship.

It is very exciting to see the Dunlop Series is a highly competitive and well- established category that forms a critical step in an end-to-end pathway for driver development, offering the opportunity to showcase emerging talent in the premier motorsport category in Australia in front of race fans and championship teams.

Impressively, the last four Dunlop Super2 Series Champions have all stepped up to be racing in the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship. 2022 Dunlop Super2 Champion Declan Fraser, racing for Tickford Racing, will join Broc Feeney(2021), Thomas Randle (2020) and Bryce Fullwood (2019) on the main starting grid.

DUNLOP TEAMS’ CHAMPIONSHIP

Dunlop is a true team player in the Supercars Paddock and beyond. In 2023 we are excited to again put our name to the Dunlop Teams’ Championship. Teams of 2 drivers accumulate points at each round which are combined. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins the Dunlop Teams’ Championship which is highly coveted both for the recognition of a team’s success but also as it determines the garage order for the following year.
