Penrite Racing and a number of Dunlop Series teams are on track ahead of the upcoming Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint.

After a three-month break, the Dunlop Series will roar back into life with Round 2 in Perth, with Kai Allen getting his title defence underway with a Bathurst sweep.

Allen is on track with Eggleston Motorsport teammates at Winton Motor Raceway, with Super2 teams blowing out the cobwebs.

Also on track at Winton is rising Penrite Racing star Matt Payne, who is completing his second rookie test day of the season.

Payne and fellow second-year main game driver Cameron Hill have been allocated three rookie days in 2024, given they didn’t finish in the top 10 in last year’s championship.

First-year rookies Ryan Wood, Aaron Love and Jaxon Evans have also been allocated three rookies days this year, and all have rolled out at least once.

Hill has two rookie days up his sleeve following his Queensland Raceway day in January, as does Evans, who tested at Queensland Raceway last month.

Wood tested at The Bend in March and at Winton in April, with Love rolling out at Winton in February and The Bend in March.

Payne’s laps come ahead of a full-team test later this month, with new co-driver recruit Dale Wood and Garth Tander set to get behind the wheel.

Also on track on Wednesday at Winton are Tickford Racing, Walkinshaw Andretti United and Brad Jones Racing’s Super2 squads, as well as Anderson Motorsport and the Erebus Motorsport/Image Racing crews.

Cameron McLeod, meanwhile, is testing his PremiAir Racing-prepared Commodore (pictured) at Queensland Raceway.

Kelly Racing is running a test for Aaron Cameron and a rookie day for Mason Kelly, with Tony Auddino testing his Erebus Commodore for the first time with stablemates Jobe Stewart and Jarrod Hughes.

BJR drivers Cody Gillis and Elliott Cleary are undertaking rookie days, as is WAU teen Campbell Logan. Matt Chahda, meanwhile, is driving his rebuilt Commodore following his crash in Bathurst, having recently been approved for an enduro wildcard bid in 2024.

The Repco Supercars Championship and Dunlop Series will resume at the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint on May 17-19. Tickets are on sale now.
