Matt Stone Racing has shown off Cameron Hill’s epic Gen3 Camaro laps of a purpose-built circuit in Canberra in a series of videos.

In a series of demonstrations, the #4 Tyrepower Chevrolet Supercar was the first Supercar to be unleashed in Canberra in over 20 years.

The Camaro, along with other exotic cars, was sent around a purpose-built tarmac circuit at Canberra's Thoroughbred Park. The circuit was a creation of the Canberra Racing Club in conjunction with Project Supercars.

MSR has since revealed vision on its YouTube channel of Hill’s circuit laps, with daytime laps captured from a forward-facing camera attached to a rod.

A camera was also attached to Hill himself as he takes off around the circuit, which features two straights, 90-degree corners and a chicane.

The opportunity itself was a proud moment for Hill, who recently recorded his best solo Supercars finish at the 2024 season-opening Thrifty Bathurst 500.

"Not often we get an actual Supercar here, so hopefully we’ll get the opportunity to do it again in the future,” Hill said.

"I think some people this week may not have actually seen a Gen3 Supercar in the flesh before, so to give them that opportunity is really cool.

"To see the smiles on so many little and big kids’ faces has been great.”

Hill will resume his 2024 Repco Supercars Championship campaign at the Melbourne SuperSprint on March 21-24.
