Two Supercars have hit the track at the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour, a week before the Thrifty Bathurst 500 opens the 2024 season.

A Gen3 Camaro and Mustang have rolled out in their first demonstration at the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour.

The #87 Red Bull Ampol Racing Camaro was driven by Broc Feeney, with Anton De Pasquale behind the wheel of the #11 Shell V-Power Racing Team Mustang.

Where Feeney and Will Brown are on the ground as competitors at the 12 Hour, De Pasquale has arrived to specially drive the Ford.

Feeney, Brown and De Pasquale will return to the Mountain next week to do battle on track at the Thrifty Bathurst 500. Tickets are on sale now.

The demonstration running, which is bringing Supercars to a potential new audience, also doubles as engine validation.

There are three demonstration sessions — two on Friday, and another on Saturday.

No chassis tuning will take place, and no data relevant to tuning will be provided to the homologations teams to ensure fair competition at next weekend’s Supercars event.

Following the three demonstrations, select data results will be shared with all teams once Supercars have analysed.

The Bathurst demo runs come after all 24 Supercars hit the track in pre-season testing last week, with multiple Ford engine specs also used in testing.

A proposed new-spec engine was run by the Shell V-Power Racing Team (Queensland test) and Blanchard Racing Team (Winton test), with other Mustangs running the previous-spec engine.

All 24 Supercars will hit the track on Friday February 23 ahead of two 250km races across Saturday February 24 and Sunday February 25.
