De Pasquale was set to start Race 6 from seventh
DJR driver was wiped out of Friday's race after contact
Anton De Pasquale's Albert Park weekend has gone from bad to worse, with the Shell V-Power Racing Team driver a non-starter in the final race.
De Pasquale was set to launch from seventh for Race 6, but was forced into pit lane as cars lined up on the starting grid.
The #11 Shell V-Power Ford was lifted onto air jacks as mechanics attended to the right-rear wheel.
“Drove out, felt like a loose wheel, or like, you've got the big hit in the rear kind of feeling, and something was loose,” De Pasquale said.
“Then, it just ripped everything apart. It's hard, you know, you don’t get to race, had a bit of bad luck this weekend, a bit of misfortune.
“But, had some sort of car speed, so I was really looking forward to getting to the race and ending on a high."
The non-start compounded what had already been a tough weekend, with De Pasquale falling from second to seventh in Thursday's race, before retiring from Friday's race after a collision with Matt Payne.
Both DJR drivers also avoided grid penalties for Friday's race after being investigated over ignoring yellow flags in qualifying.
