Forget reindeer – it’s horsepower that counts this Christmas!

The 2013 season may have wrapped up – but what better to unwrap on Christmas morning than tickets to some of the season’s best events?

Tickets are available for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, ITM 500 Auckland and Townsville 500 – and they are great value gifts because the first 1000 fans will receive a big discount on price when buying as part of the Christmas Sale.

The Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, in New South Wales, should be on everyone’s wish list. Four days of V8 Supercars tearing around Australia’s most prestigious circuit, double the drivers, vying for a place in motor racing history.

Can Ford Performance Racing back up this year’s win? They will be contesting the event with a substantially different driver line-up with Chaz Mostert in the second car and Mark Winterbottom’s new co-driver yet to be announced after Steven Richards’ departure to runners-up Red Bull.

Good news about the other two events – both have increased race time, growing from ‘400s’ to ‘500s’ meaning 500km of grueling V8 Supercar racing.

Ever-popular Townsville in Queensland becomes even more challenging, with an additional 100km of biff and barge to enjoy on the tough hybrid circuit.

The New Zealand event, the ITM 500 Auckland, has also grown for 2014 with an additional 100km race and an ANZAC Day weekend schedule. So whether it’s your home event or not, it’s the perfect race weekend to travel to.

This year’s Pukekohe racing was some of the 2013’s most exciting and produced arguably the best moments of the year with Jason Bright and Team BOC clinching the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy and Scott McLaughlin seizing his first main series Championship race win in his home country.

There were four winners of four races and the Winterbottom versus Jamie Whincup was ignited when there was contact between the two.

Tickets are the perfect stocking stuffer, so head to Ticketek now and plan a day at the races for Christmas!
