Saturday Night Concert

North Queensland's largest sporting and entertainment event just got bigger with two of Australia’s greatest Aussie Rock legends that will head the entertainment at this year’s Watpac Townsville 400. 

Aussie music royalty John Farnham will lead the celebrations at this year’s spectacular 10th anniversary.

Farnham will be supported on the Saturday night of North Queensland’s largest annual sporting event by fellow Australian rock legend, Daryl Braithwaite, in celebrating a decade of the event.

Drivers Parade

Be upstanding to cheer on your favourite Supercars driver as they parade around the track before the racing kicks off for the weekend.

Drag Demonstration

Race fans will be treated to a taste of drag racing at the Watpac Townsville 400 with five local quarter mile enthusiasts set to light up their tyres along the main straight.

Hot Wheels Stunt Team


Check out the Hotwheels Stunt Team on track with a brand new show. Their custom cars will go head to head with their bikes around a custom circuit created between Turn 7 and Turn 9 on Saturday at 2:10pm and Sunday at 11:50am. Also check out their transporter and get a photo with them in Merchandise Alley.

The ShowTime Freestyle Moto X team has cemented its position as the most spectacular FMX team in Australia. See world renowned Freestyle Moto X stars thrill the crowds with their aerial antics.

Rockers N Rollers

Back for this years’ Watpac Townsville 400 are the ‘Rockers n Rollers’ from The Townsville Twin Cities Rock n Roll Dance Club. Complete with cool cars alongside the dance floor check out these guys n gals twisting and swinging to music from the fabulous 50’s/60’s.

Borys Zagrocki - Extreme Bicycle Stunts

Borys Zagrocki is a professional Trials bicycle rider, performer and instructor. Starting in Europe and developing his skills throughout Asia and Australia, Borys Zagrocki has over 15 years’ experience and now holds 2 Australian National Elite Championships. Regularly performing around Australia and overseas, come see Borys perform his stunts over the weekend in merchandise alley!

When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3 shows per day

Aussie Bandit

With a 1700 horsepower Chev V8 mounted in the tray, this beast of a ute has run the quarter mile at 142 miles an hour on its back wheels. Watch as the Aussie Bandit blows flames and wheel stands its way around the track during the on-track entertainment sessions over the weekend. In-between sessions, come and get a close up of this beast and meet the driver behind it as it sits on display near merchandise alley.

Team Army

Project Digger is the Army’s latest recruitment tool. Based on a 1978 Ford LTD, Project Digger is powered by a blown 460 cubic inch Big Block Ford engine and develops nearly 700 hp at the back wheels. Armygeddon was the first burn out vehicle developed by Team Army. Based on a 6 x 6 Land Rover (the vehicle is a Veteran from the East Timor campaign), Armygeddon is fitted with a LS1 and develops over 600 hp. These V8 show stoppers are loud and aggressive and sure to put on an epic show when they hit the track over the weekend.
