Your Supercars Membership hard card will gain you early gate entry at the Watpac Townsville 400. Just flash your hard card at Gate 3 and you’re in 30 minutes early!

The Accreditation Centre is located just inside the Townsville State High School Car Park. Enter via First Street.

Transport & Parking

Traffic diversions will be in place before and after the Supercars event due to the installation and removal of event infrastructure. To avoid delays please use alternative routes: or even better take public transport!

Bus Services

Sunbus will be operating dedicated Supercars bus services to and from the Reid Park Precinct.

Patrons and event staff travelling to and from the event, in possession of an event ticket or accreditation pass are permitted free travel on the dedicated Supercars routes across Saturday and Sunday of the event. Travel on all other Sunbus services will incur a regular fare.

    Free Parking

  • On street parking near the event precinct is not recommended. See regulated parking area.
  • Illegal parking, or parking causing an impediment for a local resident to access their home or business will be monitored and will result in a fine or the vehicle being towed.
  • Dean Street Car Park: Free designated event parking.
  • Accessible Car Parking

    • Accessible parking is provided at Gate 1 via Brodie Street and Gate 3 on First Street.
    • Townsville State High School also has disabled parking available for purchase.
    • With the exception of the Townsville State High School, the Accessible parking areas listed above also contain wheelchair friendly drop off areas.

    Drop Off Zone

    Access to the event has never been so easy. A drop-off zone at Brodie Street where buses and taxis can set down passengers’ right at an entry gate will ensure a smooth carefree entry to the event for all race fans.  A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available at the drop-off zone.  An additional taxi rank can be found outside Gate 3 in Flowers Street.

    Car Park Closures 

    Flinders Street East Car Park (closest to Bully’s Nightclub) Half of the car park will be closed from Thursday, 6 July to Sunday, 8 July.

    Sturt Street Car Park (between Walker and Sturt Street) From Friday, 6 July to Sunday, 8 July.

    These car parks are restricted to Emergency Service access only.

    Regulated Parking Area

  • A regulated event parking area will be in place, around Reid Park.
  • The regulated area is in place to stop non-residents from parking on the streets affected and will be in force from 7am to 7pm on Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th
  • A two hour limit will apply to any vehicle parked on the street during this time. Fines will apply.
  • Residents living within the regulated area will need to display a Resident Parking Permit. These will be posted to residents before the event.

    Accessibility Information

    Viewing Facilities 

    A dedicated viewing platform with shaded cover is attended by volunteers throughout the event and allows access to those patrons with a disability PLUS one companion.

    There is one accessible viewing platform, D2, which is located between S15 and S16 near turn 12.

    For access to the D2 stand, the best entry gate is Gate 3 at the Dunlop Hairpin. Gate 1 also provides access.

    An additional accessible viewing platform, D3, is located in the concert zone (stage left) so patrons can enjoy the entertainment.

    Drop off and pick up areas

    With the exception of the Townsville State High School, the accessible parking areas also contain accessible drop off areas.


    There are a number of Accessible parking spots available at the following locations:

    • First Street, near Gate 3
    • Broadie Street, Carpark A, by the transit Centre. Note: This is NOT a public carpark so you will need to show your disabled parking permit.
    • Townsville State High School (pre-pay or on the day)


    There are a number of wheelchair friendly toilets in the precinct. Locations are:

    • Behind disabled viewing platform D2 - between S15 and S16
    • Rear of Supercars Paddock
    • Pit building on ground level and level one
    • Inside Gate 1 on the right
    • Merchandise Alley (East)

    Access around the Precinct and Track Crossings

    Public track crossings will be conducted throughout the event to allow people to cross the track without using the overbridges, which is particularly useful for patrons with prams or disabilities. The crossings will occur on either side of the track at Pedestrian Bridge 1 and Pedestrian Bridge 4. Timings for these crossings will be sign posted next to the pedestrian crossing location.

    Lift Access to Pit Building

    For any corporate clients who have tickets in the Pit Building, there is a lift on the ground floor half-way along the building.

    Companion Card 

    Companion Cards are accepted at this event for general admission tickets and access to the wheelchair accessible platforms. If a companion card ticket is required, then the companion card must be presented at the time of booking and also carried with the disabled person when attending the event.

    The Australian Childhood Foundation was started over 30 years ago and works to prevent child abuse and reduce the harm it causes children, their families and the community.

    They provide specialised therapeutic services to children to help them recover from the effects of trauma from abuse, neglect and family violence.

    They are passionate advocates for children and are committed to helping the community to defend childhood and ensure all children know safety and love.

    Event Program 

    Fans can purchase the event program for $10 at the following locations:

    • Ticketek Box Offices at the Main Gate
    • Paddock Box Office
    • Supercars Official Merchandise stall in Merchandise Alley

    First Aid 

    QAS will be operating a total of 3 first aid facilities located around the circuit. Refer to track map for locations.

    Food and Beverage

    There are a number of food outlets to choose from located around the event precinct. Patrons may bring in limited quantities of food and drink for personal consumption. No alcohol or glass is permitted to be brought into the precinct.

    Alcoholic beverages are available for sale from the numerous bars and licensed outlets located throughout the venue. Bars will operate from 10am daily. Liquor licensing laws prevent patrons from bringing their own alcohol into the venue. No glass is permitted.

    Information Booth 

    The information booth is located at the Civic Theatre on the inside of the circuit opposite the pit straight pedestrian bridge. The information booth will be the first point of contact for all lost property.

    Parents Room 

    Baby changing facilities are located in the Civic Theatre.

    Track Commentary

    Tune into 96.3FM during the event to hear commentary of racing action and what's happening on and off the track.

    Track Crossings 

    Public track crossings will be conducted throughout the event to allow people to cross the track without using the pedestrian bridges, which is particularly useful for patrons with prams or disabilities. The crossings will occur on either side of the track at Pedestrian Bridge 1 and Pedestrian Bridge 4. Timings for these crossings will be sign posted next to the pedestrian crossing location.

    The Queensland Police Service (QPS) will be established within the vicinity of Townsville High School and will be conducting roaming patrols throughout the days of the event.

    Parents can visit QPS at entry gates to register their children and wristband them with an ID number. The register will be held by the QPS located at the Townsville State High School. In the event of a lost child, and where deemed necessary, a PA announcement will be made and all operational service personnel notified via two-way radio with a description of the child.
