Triple Eight fielded a third Holden for three seasons from 2016, for the now-retired Craig Lowndes.
The team’s initial expansion proved successful, with Lowndes taking a pair of wins and finishing fourth in the 2016 championship.
While 2017, the second and final season in Caltex colours, was less successful with Lowndes a winless 10th, he responded in style in '18 with Autobarn backing.
In what became his final full-time season, Lowndes grabbed a pair of race wins including his seventh Bathurst victory alongside Steven Richards.
The duo also claimed the PIRTEK Enduro Cup on Lowndes' way to fourth in the standings.
From 2019, Triple Eight's focus is solely on its two Red Bull Holden Racing Team entries.
