After an off-season of little change, year two for Nissan Motorsport in the V8 Supercars Championship promises to be a big one, with the team retaining its same cars, drivers and sponsor line-ups for the 2014 season.

Team owner/drivers Todd and Rick Kelly will again be joined by young Norton stars James Moffat and Michael Caruso.

The only significant change to the Nissan Altima V8 Supercars will be an updated aerodynamics package after a successful re-homologation process that was undertaken before the start of the 2014 season.

While Nissan may only be in its second year of V8 Supercars competition, the Japanese manufacturer is no stranger to Australian Touring car racing. Nissan competed in the Australian Touring Car Championship as a factory team under the late Howard Marsden between 1982 and 1984, while Fred Gibson’s team ran the Nissan operation from 1986 to 1992.

As per the 2013 season, the four-car operation is divided into two teams of two cars each, with the #7 and #15 entries of Todd and Rick Kelly combined to form their team’s pointscore, while the two Norton cars of James Moffat and Michael Caruso are combined.
