Dunlop is synonymous with industry-leading innovation in tyres and motorsport and immensely proud of our heritage in supporting and developing motorsport talent from grass-root categories through to the Supercars Championship.

This year marks Dunlop’s 20th season as the control tyre supplier for the Repco Supercars Championship and is now the exclusive tyre supplier to all three tiers of Supercars racing: the Repco Supercars Championship, Dunlop Super2 Series and Dunlop Super3 Series.

Since Dunlop’s control supply deal began in 2002, our motorsport team has supplied and fitted approximately 280,000 tyres to the teams of the Repco Supercars Championship and the relationship will continue through until at least the end of 2024.

During the 2021 season Dunlop will supply approximately 14,000 tyres across the three tiers. For the first time, the Repco Supercars Championship will compete on 280/680/ R18 sized tyres in four specifications, as a new Super Soft compound joins the Soft, Hard and R92 wet weather tyre.

The new Super Soft has been introduced to add excitement to the racing two of the circuits that traditionally produce low degradation (wear). Seven races will run on the Soft tyre and the remaining on the Dunlop Hard tyre including at Bathurst.

Dunlop has been the official naming rights partner of the Dunlop Super2 Series since 2012 – won in that year by triple Supercar Driver’s Champion Scott McLaughlin. Now 11 years later we are proud to incorporate both Super2 and Super3 categories for the 2021 Dunlop Series.

It is very exciting to see the Dunlop Series is a highly competitive and well- established category that forms a critical step in an end to end pathway for a driver development, offering the opportunity to showcase emerging talent in the premier motorsport category in Australia in front of race fans and championship teams.

Dunlop is true team player in the Supercars Paddock and beyond. In 2021 we are again excited to put our name to the Dunlop Teams’ Championship. The Dunlop Team’s Championship is highly coveted both for the recognition of a team’s success but also sets the garage order for the following season where the 2021 Team’s Champion will be in garage number 1!
