Courtney Prince has been confirmed in the top-tier of Porsche racing in Australia in 2023.

The 21-year-old will make her full Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship debut this year.

The Victorian has been called up by the title-winning Porsche Centre Melbourne Motorsport Team.

The Porsche Centre Melbourne squad won three consecutive titles between 2011 and 2013.

Prince has driven several different cars in her young career, with the high-powered Porsches her latest test.

The Carrera Cup Australia Championship is the premier support category for the Repco Supercars Championship.

Porsches will support Supercars at the Beaurepaires Melbourne SuperSprint, Betr Darwin Triple Crown, NTI Townsville 500, OTR SuperSprint, Penrite Oil Sandown 500, Repco Bathurst 1000, Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 and VALO Adelaide 500.

Her motorsport career began in go-karting before she competed in the Australian Formula Ford Series for three seasons.

Prince has since raced in the Aussie Racing Cars and Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia Series.

The 2022 season was a moving year for Prince, who finished fourth in both the Aussie Racing Cars and Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia Series.

Notably, she scored three podiums last year.

Prince’s 2023 campaign has backing from major partners BWT Australia, Michelin and Mobil 1.

She will race alongside Nick McBride, Marc Cini and Matthew Belford for the Melbourne-based team.

Prince’s Carrera Cup debut comes at the Australian Grand Prix late next month.

“I’m excited to be stepping up to Carrera Cup with Porsche Centre Melbourne Motorsport and BWT Australia on board to support me,” Prince said.

“I know it’s a big step, but I’m ready and with the support of the team can’t wait to see what 2023 brings.”

General Manager Piero Pellegrini added: “We’re very proud to be expanding our operation and welcoming BWT Australia and Courtney on board.

“Motorsport has always been a vital part of Porsche Centre Melbourne.

“Having a dedicated motorsport department is a unique environment for our dealership.”

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence at the Thrifty Newcastle 500 on March 10-12.
