Fans are invited to line the most famous street of Main Beach once again on Wednesday October 25, as it transforms into a parade of tooting and waving as Supercars officially arrive in town ahead of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.
The multi-million-dollar procession of Supercar transporters, carrying 14 Chevrolet Camaros and 11 Ford Mustangs, will make their way through Tedder Avenue, to mark the official start of this year’s instalment of the largest annual sporting event in Queensland.
Just three days out from Supercars’ biggest party, a procession of 26-metre-long transporters will make their way through Main Beach’s well-known main street, and into pit lane.
Fans can check out all of their favourite Supercars teams' massive B-Double transporters as they drive through Tedder Avenue. Some teams will even have special guests in the trucks, including current drivers.
Fans are encouraged to book a table at one of the local Tedder Avenue restaurants or cafes for breakfast, lunch, or dinner to see the big rigs up close.
Transporters entering pit lane on Wednesday will arrive in two sets due to space restrictions and unloading times within the pits.
Times are 10.45am and 1.30pm AEST and are subject to change.
The Supercars team will also be on patrol handing out flags and perhaps a few spot-prizes to a few lucky spectators.
Mano’s Pub, a famous establishment on Tedder Ave will be hosting a special luncheon on the Wednesday from 12pm to 3pm, where a number of Supercars drivers will be making an appearance.
The build up to the event doesn’t stop there, the ‘Drivers Sunset Signing Session’ will be held on Thursday October 26, at the iconic Surfers Paradise Foreshore from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
The Surfers streets will come alive just hours later as practice begins for the weekend’s dual 250km races, the first of the Gen3 era on the GC500 circuit.
This year the entertainment line-up is packed like never before, with seven acts across three huge nights.
The Club 500 Stage will host high-energy acts, kicking off with John Course and Aussie party sensations The Presets on Friday night.
Saturday is an all-DJ mix including internationally renowned DJ Total Eclipse and energy packed performances from Aussie acts Mashd N Kutcher and Client Liaison.
Sunday will feature another international sensation from down under, Havana Brown before finishing with Aussie Hip Hop star Illy.
Entertainment is included in your same day event ticket.
The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and features on the It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar.
The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 runs next week from October 27-29 at the famous Surfers Paradise street circuit. Tickets are on sale now through Supercars.com and Ticketek.
