FAVOURITES

Round 4 of the Eseries will see the All Stars and Pro Series each complete races at Phillip Island.

Last week saw two new race winners were crowned for the Pro Series with Jake Burton and Madison Down taking honours at Michigan Speedway.

Burton inherited victory in the Pro Series sprint race when points leader Jarrad Filsell was penalised for causing a collision.

Down stole victory on the final lap in the combined Eseries race.

Burton’s Michigan win now sees the Brad Jones Racing driver lead the Pro Series standings.

Burton becomes the third different points leader in as many races.

Brodie Kostecki endured a tough night in Michigan finishing ninth before in the sprint before being wiped out on the last lap in the finale.

Despite the hiccup, the #99 Boost Mobile Erebus driver still leads the All Stars points heading to Phillip Island.

Kostecki has been hard to beat this season and is expected to continue his form on the Apple Isle.

THE FORM SEEKERS

Defending Pro Series champion Dayne Warren had an uncharacteristically bad showing last Wednesday, finishing eighth in the opening sprint race.

He then crashed out in the combined race, with five laps to go.

The result sees Warren sitting fifth in the standings.

Warren dominated Phillip Island in 2021 and will be keen to return to his winning ways for Round 4.

Jayden Ojeda took the All Stars honours last week and remains a consistent achiever in this year’s series.

Jake Kostecki now sits fifth in the All Star standings, after topping the opening sprint race last Wednesday.

Aaron Borg remains in the mix, scoring a surprise second in Michigan. He currently sits second overall.

It continues Borg’s run of top five results and is one to watch as the series heads to Phillip Island.

THE ROUGHIES

Jordan Caruso and Jordan Cox remain top five contenders this season, with the latter claiming a pole in Michigan last Wednesday.

Justin Ruggier is still in striking distance of series leader Kostecki in the points but will need to overcome consistent contender Borg.

Andre Heimgartner returns after being absent from the competition last week.

The BJR driver suffered a 38g crash at Tailem Bend a week ago.

Now sitting 12th overall, Heimgartner has recorded two podiums so far this season.
