What to expect at the ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight

The Repco Supercars Championship returns to Sydney Motorsport Park for this weekend’s ninth round of the 2021 season – the ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight.

The event marks the second of four back-to-back weekends of racing.

With two days until the cars hit the track for Practice 1 on Saturday, Supercars.com has listed some answers to key questions ahead of the event.

The ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight will be a two-day event held across November 6-7.

The race weekend will feature three 32-lap races, one on Saturday and two on Sunday.

Two of the races will be held under lights.

Drivers will be competing for the Beaurepaires Sydney Cup, which will be awarded to the driver who accumulates the most points over the four Repco Supercars Championship rounds being held at the Eastern Creek circuit across October and November.

The ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight will be staged in accordance with all applicable Government regulations, including those responding to COVID-19, as well as a detailed COVIDSafe Event Plan prepared by Sydney Motorsport Park and approved by the NSW Government.

There will be up to 10,000 attendees each day of the event.

In great news for fans, existing Unreserved Grandstand ticket holders for the ARMOR ALL Sydney SuperNight will receive a free upgrade to access the VIP area located in Grandstands J & K.

Trackside ticketholders will also receive free access to Grandstand seating.

The Supercars paddock will not be open to fans, however, the Support Category Paddock will be accessible with a Trackside ticket. Pit roof access is free with Trackside admission. 

Corporate experience guests will be able to park inside the venue, with vehicle access via Gate AA. Corporate suites are a short walk through the tunnel with access via the stairwells of the pit building. 

When attending the event, please ensure you check-in via the Service NSW App and use the QR code at the gate. All patrons are required to present their proof of double vaccination OR their NSW Health-certified medical dispensation before entering SMSP.

Event organisers encourage attendees to stay COVID Safe by washing their hands as often as possible, keeping a safe distance from others and checking in using the NSW Service App. To download the app, click here.

Face masks will be mandatory indoors as per current health regulations or if you can't maintain social distancing regulations.

The support line-up will feature the NSW Production Touring Cars and Formula Ford.

On-track sessions will commence at 1:20pm AEDT on Saturday November 6, when popular local category the NSW Production Touring Cars begin practice.

Supercars will hit the Eastern Creek circuit for the first of two 30-minute practice sessions at 1:55pm AEDT on Saturday. Check out the full weekend schedule here.

Merchandise stalls will be open, located behind the Grandstands. 

Public food and bar outlets will be operating, with locations behind the grandstand, and beer garden located between the Grandstand and Turn 1, as well as on the pit roof and the Paddock Café (just outside of the Paddock).

The event will be broadcast in full on Foxtel and will be streamed on Kayo from 12:30pm AEDT on Saturday and Sunday.

Children aged 15 and under are free to enter the venue in general admission areas, however they must be always accompanied by their ticket-holding parent or guardian. Children require tickets for hospitality and grandstand areas.

Access to the event is through Gate A and Gate C for pedestrians. 

Gates open at 12:30pm AEDT for viewing of practice sessions by Supercars, NSW Production Touring Cars and Formula Ford on Saturday.

Gates open at 12:30pm AEDT on Sunday.

Sydney Motorsport Park is located approximately 40km west of Sydney’s CBD on Brabham Drive/ Ferrers Road at Eastern Creek.

There is free public parking located at Raging Waters Water Park, which includes a free shuttle to the track. There will be a free shuttle service running from Blacktown Station. Masks must be worn when travelling on the shuttle bus. 

Fans are welcome to bring pre-packaged food such as sandwiches, fruit, biscuits, crisps, etc, and non-alcoholic beverages that are in non-shatter containers – i.e. no glass bottles. No BYO alcohol allowed.

We encourage fans to bring their chairs and picnic blankets into the General Admission areas but must adhere to applicable social distancing requirements when placing chairs on viewing mounds.

There is limited shade, so umbrellas are recommended. Sydney Motorsport Park does not allow spectators to bring tents, canopies, or any form of scaffolding.

Please be courteous when queuing for entry/exit, for food and beverages, or for merchandise purchases, and always keep 1.5 metres from other patrons.

Please use the sanitiser stations available to you at key entry and exit points.

Otherwise, as with all events, patrons must not attend if feeling unwell or if they have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case.
