SuperUtes to make Tassie debut

The Haltech V8 SuperUtes Series will make its maiden trip to Tasmania in 2022.

The V8 SuperUtes is one of three support categories on the undercard for the second event of the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship.

The NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint will be held at Symmons Plains International Raceway across March 26-27.

Along with the V8-powered utes, Supercars will be supported by the Tassie Tin Tops and Aussie Racing Cars.

Supercars are BACK on the Apple Isle

It marks the first visit for the SuperUte series to the Apple Isle.

The series will look to crown a new champion in 2022, with heavyweights Ryal Harris and Cameron Crick moving across to Super2 in 2022.

Ute racing stalwart Craig Dontas will return in a Ryco-backed Mitsubishi Triton.

Mitsubishi Tritons, Toyota Hiluxes and a Isuzu D-Max will hit the track for its first practice session on Friday.

A 20-minute qualifying session will set the grid for Race 1 on Saturday. CLICK HERE to view the track schedule.

There will be two races for the SuperUtes on the Sunday.

Kids 12 and under receive free Trackside admission all weekend with a paying adult.

Trackside ticket holders can also upgrade their experience with Park and View access.
