Ryal Harris took out Race 2 of the ECB SuperUtes Series round at Barbagallo Wanneroo Raceway, prevailing from a race-long, five-car fight.

The defending champion was in the thick of the action throughout the 20-lap affair, for which the top six on the grid were reversed from Race 1.

Harris eventually edged Elliot Barbour by 0.4674 seconds to take the victory and reclaim the series points lead with Tom Alexander down the order.

The EFS 4x4 Mazda started third, he and Barbour joined in the lead pack by Barbour, Craig Woods, Cameron Crick and Christopher Formosa.

That group of five was split by just 1.7496s at the chequered flag.

As racing got underway, Harris got the jump on Micheal Sieders and Ben Falk, who both lost multiple positions from the front row.

Harris led until lap five, when Barbour got past, but overtook the Team Triton driver again on lap eight.

The pair found themselves leading a five-car pack with Woods and Crick and then Formosa all joining the party.

Barbour got back ahead on lap 16, but Harris made the definitive move one lap later.

He withstood a last-corner challenge from Barbour to take the win.

Woods finished third aboard the Western Sydney Motorsport Toyota, ahead of Mitsubishi driver Crick, with Formosa fifth in his Ford Ranger.

Sieders wound up sixth, having spun at Kolb Corner on the opening lap after contact with Formosa.

Toyota driver Walsh was seventh, ahead of Race 1 winner Alexander, who lost pace early with an apparent turbo problem and also had an off.

The third and final race of the weekend will be held at 4:40pm Saturday, as part of the PIRTEK Perth SuperNight.
