The Ross Stone Racing Isuzu driver finished 0.8478 seconds ahead of Mitsubishi driver Elliot Barbour, who took second for the race and round.

With the weekend’s results, Alexander becomes the new series leader, eight points ahead of Barbour, who now moves into second ahead of former leader Ryal Harris.

From the rolling start, Alexander got the jump on Barbour and held onto the top spot for the remainder of the 12-lap affair.

Barbour applied pressure throughout, but couldn’t find a way past the D-MAX.

The second Team Triton entry of Cameron Crick managed to fight his way through to third from eighth on the grid.

He passed Harris in the closing stages, the defending champion finishing fourth but third for the round.

Micheal Sieders pressured Harris late and finished fifth, from Craig Woods, Christopher Formosa, Ben Falk and SuperUtes debutant Peter Major.

There was trouble for Ben Walsh, who started fourth but appeared to lose pace with mechanical dramas, finishing last and two laps down.

The third round of the ECB SuperUtes Series will take place on May 24-26, as part of the Truck Assist Winton SuperSprint.
