This year's Supercars enduro grid features a big field of former winners, veterans, rising stars and rookies.
The Penrite Oil Sandown 500 and Repco Bathurst 1000 will see the regular stars of the full-time circus paired up with drivers from a range of different experience and success levels.
All told, the 26-car field makes for a star-studded line-up, packed with drivers who have stood on Sandown and Bathurst podiums before.
So, what are the key numbers across the grid, and which drivers stand out? Supercars.com breaks it down.
Starts
Across the 26 cars and 52 drivers, there is a staggering 310 combined Sandown 500 starts, and 500 Great Race starts. The most experienced driver, to no surprise, is Craig Lowndes, who has made 30 Bathurst starts and 19 Sandown starts.
It's important to note that, while we celebrate 60 years of endurance racing at Sandown, there were two four-year periods (Queensland Raceway 1999-2002) and Phillip Island (2008-2011) where the pre-Bathurst 500km enduro wasn't held at Sandown.
The most experienced line-up on the grid for both races is Team 18's David Reynolds/Warren Luff pairing. The combine for 25 Sandown starts (Reynolds 10, Luff 15), and 39 Bathurst starts (Reynolds 16, Luff 23).
Debutants
It's a big debutant field, with eight drivers to make Sandown 500 debuts, and six at the Great Race. Full-timer Ryan Wood is joined on the Sandown rookie list by Kai Allen, Cooper Murray, Cameron Crick, Matt Chahda, Brad Vaughan, Cameron McLeod and Aaron Cameron.
Of the eight, Allen and Chahda have previously made Bathurst starts, both in wildcards.
Winners
Eight drivers on the 2024 grid have won a Sandown 500: Craig Lowndes, Jamie Whincup, Garth Tander, Mark Winterbottom, Cam Waters, Richie Stanaway, Broc Feeney and Warren Luff. The eight winners combine for 20 total wins, led by Lowndes and Whincup (both six)
A whopping 10 have Bathurst wins to their name, combining for 25 wins: Lowndes, Whincup, Tander, Winterbottom, Stanaway, Chaz Mostert, Will Davison, Nick Percat and Lee Holdsworth. Lowndes has the most with seven, followed by Tander (five) and Whincup (four).
Podiums
Of the 52 drivers, 15 have claimed a Sandown podium, and 22 a Bathurst podium. They combine for 44 Sandown podiums, and a huge 76 Bathurst podiums. Lowndes (10) and Whincup (nine) lead the way with Sandown podiums, while Lowndes has a stunning 14 Bathurst podiums, more than any driver in history.
