Nedd Brockmann to lead new Supercars Gold Coast experience

The 2026 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will transform into a city-wide festival this October with a new line-up of music, entertainment, community and experiences extending well beyond the racetrack.

Headlining the program is Track Club powered by Boost Mobile, a new initiative that will see athlete and current Young Australian of the Year Nedd Brockmann lead 2,500 participants around the iconic Gold Coast street circuit on Friday 23 October.

Track Club powered by Boost Mobile forms part of Supercars' vision to evolve the Gold Coast 500 into a multi-day destination experience that celebrates the unique energy, lifestyle and culture of the Gold Coast.

Brockmann's run will commence early on Friday morning, with participants of all levels tackling up to two laps of the famous Surfers Paradise circuit.

The run is one of several new elements that will offer locals and visitors more opportunities to enjoy live entertainment, connect with the community and immerse themselves in the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

For Brockmann, 2026 marks a return to the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

Last year, he took to the circuit with just 100 runners as part of his Uncomfortable Challenge initiative. This year, the opportunity expands to 2,500 participants, giving more people the chance to take part in the event while supporting an important cause.

"What I love about this is seeing people getting active, taking on new challenges and helping our fellow Aussies in need at the same time," Brockmann said.

"That's exactly what the Uncomfortable Challenge is all about, and Track Club is a perfect fit. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just having a crack, you'll get to be part of an incredible community and be involved in the Gold Coast 500 in a way very few people ever will.

"Best of all, every person who signs up is helping support the work we're doing through Mobilise to tackle homelessness across Australia."

As part of the initiative, Supercars will donate $15 from every Track Club entry to Mobilise through the partnership with Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge.

Supercars Chairman Barclay Nettlefold said Track Club, alongside a range of other new event features, provided Gold Coasters and visitors a completely new way to participate in the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

"The Gold Coast has an incredible running culture and a strong appetite for experiences that bring people together," Nettlefold said.

"After seeing the response to Nedd taking 100 runners around the circuit last year, we knew we had to expand and open it up to thousands more participants.

"Track Club powered by Boost Mobile is about much more than running. It's a celebration of community and participation, helping create a race-week tradition where entertainment, music and Gold Coast culture all come together.

"The Gold Coast is one of Australia's great event destinations and we're building an event program reflective of the lifestyle and energy of this city while giving more people a reason to be part of race week,” Nettlefold added.

Tickets to Track Club powered by Boost Mobile are priced from $53^# for children under 16^* and adults from $99^#.

Tickets go on sale via www.supercars.com/trackclub at 10:00am AEST on Tuesday 1 September. There are only 2,500 places available.

The 2026 Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will take place from 23-25 October in Surfers Paradise, proudly supported by Tourism and Events Queensland and Experience Gold Coast.
