Digital engagement reaches record levels with 63.3 million page and screen views
The 2026 Repco Sprint Cup connected with audiences at significant scale, with a cumulative reach of more than 60 million across Australia through television and streaming, while 6.1 million people have visited Supercars.com year-to-date.
The results strengthen Supercars’ position as one of Australia’s most-watched sporting and entertainment properties. The audience is both growing and engaging more deeply with Supercars content.
Supercars’ combined social following now exceeds three million, including 245,000 new followers in 2026.
Fans have also consumed more than 26 million hours of television and streaming content across the opening nine rounds, while digital engagement is up 17.4% year-on-year and has already surpassed the full-year 2025 result.
The growth reflects increasing demand for live motorsport content across multiple platforms and provides expanded exposure opportunities for Supercars' commercial partners, host destinations and broadcasters, with audiences engaging with the championship at record levels throughout the season so far.
The broadcast result was underpinned by strong year-on-year growth across Foxtel Group platforms including Kayo Sports, Foxtel, Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now, with viewing hours up 5% through the first eight rounds. Streaming hours have surged 20% .
In New Zealand, viewership hours on Sky Sport were up 3% year-on-year across the first eight rounds of the year, bolstered by the success of the inaugural ITM Christchurch Super 440.
With 900,000 viewing hours, the championship’s debut at Ruapuna Raceway became the most viewed Supercars event on Sky Sport outside of the Repco Bathurst 1000 since the inaugural Taupō event in 2024.
The strong broadcast performance has been complemented by record engagement across Supercars' owned digital and social media platforms.
Fans consumed more than two million hours of Supercars content across social media channels to date in 2026, while Supercars’ owned digital platforms continue to experience strong growth.
The Supercars App and Supercars.com have generated 63.3 million page and screen views year-to-date, already exceeding the total audience delivered across the entire 2025 season.
The 2026 Repco Supercars Championship has provided box office entertainment from the start, with 10 different drivers taking victory across the first 10 events and 29 races of the 2026 campaign.
Supercars Executive Chairman and interim CEO Barclay Nettlefold said the figures highlighted the continued momentum of the championship across all platforms.
“These results demonstrate the strength of the Supercars product and the incredible passion of our fans across Australia, New Zealand and beyond,” Nettlefold said.
"To have cumulative reach of more than 60 million and to generate more than 26 million viewership hours across television and streaming this season is a fantastic achievement.
"We've seen particularly strong growth in streaming audiences, which reinforces the increasing demand for Supercars content whenever and wherever fans want to watch.
"Combined with record digital engagement across our website, app and social channels, these numbers show a strong response to what has been fierce competition on the racetrack.
"The way fans are consuming sport continues to evolve, and Supercars is successfully meeting audiences wherever they choose to engage, whether through live broadcast, streaming, mobile or social platforms.
“With the Ryco Enduro Cup, Repco Bathurst 1000 and Repco Supercars Finals Series still to come, we're confident there is further opportunity to grow our audience and build on this momentum through the remainder of the season."
The Ryco Enduro Cup began at the AirTouch 500 at The Bend in South Australia last weekend.
The 500-kilometre endurance race set the stage for next month’s Repco Bathurst 1000, where the 2026 Kings of the Mountain will be crowned.
