Adelaide to host MotoGP just weeks before 2027 Supercars finale
2026 Supercars season resumes in Bathurst on October 8-11
The first event on the new-look Adelaide circuit will be held on November 12-14 in 2027, with MotoGP releasing the calendar for its forthcoming season.
The famous Adelaide Parklands Circuit will be reimagined from 2027, with MotoGP to make its debut in the South Australian capital on a revised layout.
The inaugural MotoGP Grand Prix of Australia – Adelaide 2027 will mark the first time a MotoGP event has been held on a street circuit.
The MotoGP event, which is the penultimate round of the 2027 championship, will be followed by the Supercars season finale, the bp Adelaide Grand Final.
The MotoGP and Supercars events will be held within weeks of each other, with temporary infrastructure to be used across both events, while reducing disruption involved in setting up the precinct. That indicates the 2027 bp Adelaide Grand Final is likely to fall on November 25-28. A date has yet to be confirmed.
The State Government anticipates the MotoGP and Supercars events will generate a combined annual economic return of more than $200 million in Adelaide.
The first date locked in for the 2027 Supercars season was the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, which will be held on April 1-4. The 2027 Repco Supercars Championship calendar is set to be announced in due course.
Tickets to all remaining 2026 Supercars events, including the upcoming Repco Bathurst 1000, are on sale.
