Dick Johnson Racing have pulled the covers off their 2026 Indigenous livery, with a message of connection at the heart of design adorning the Shell V-Power Mustangs at the betr Darwin Triple Crown.
The new-look Indigenous livery was revealed on the Today Show, and was created by Wadawurrung man Billy-Jay O'Toole, who also worked with Matt Stone Racing for their two Indigenous liveries.
The artwork used for the livery is titled 'Gathering', with the work centred around the Wadawurrung message Koling wada ngal (Let us walk together).
The art has been incorporated into the season-long Shell V-Power livery, with the artwork subtly continuing through the sides of the DJR Mustangs.

As the artist explains, Shell share a connection with the Wadawurrung people, with the company's former Australian headquarters being based in Wadawurrung Country.
“Being a proud Wadawurrung man growing up on Wadawurrung Country in Coriyu [now known as Corio], I was aware that the Shell headquarters was once located there,” said O'Toole.
“Long before colonisation, this was a place of great abundance. Wadawurrung people lived here, gathered here, and sustained life and resources for thousands of generations.
“My ancestors were banned by colonisers from living on and collecting resources from Corio region.
“But today, my people live there again alongside many other Community families and it’s become a place of connection, belonging, community, sport, and education.
“Just like this Darwin event, it is about bringing people together honouring and celebrating the oldest living culture in the world through the Supercars indigenous round.
“As the sun rises and the event begins, may it remind us all to rise, learn, grow, achieve, and inspire to celebrate First Nations culture at the forefront.
“Koling wada ngal (let us walk together).”
Cars hit the track on Friday, culminating in Darwin's first ever Friday Supercars race at 5:00pm local time/5:30pm AEST.
