Dick Johnson Racing reveals historic new CEO appointment
Megan Foster joins Shell V-Power Racing Team as CEO
Foster is the first CEO in the Ford team’s history
Megan Foster has been revealed as the new CEO of the Shell V-Power Racing Team, the team has confirmed.
Confirmed Friday, Foster will take the reins of Dick Johnson Racing, effective Monday February 2, 2026.
She is the first CEO in the Ford team’s history, and replaces David Noble, who headed the team between 2023 and 2025.
Foster arrives with corporate experience across the likes of Viva Energy (Shell licensee in Australia), MYER and Unilever. She is currently Executive Manager at Bapcor, leading the Autobarn, Autopro and Midas Retail businesses.
She is a long-time supporter and cyclist for Tour de Cure, raising money to fund cancer research. Foster also held positions at Liberty Oil Convenience and Sass and Bide.
Foster arrives amid big changes for DJR, with Mark Fenning taking over as Team Principal, and Tom Moore as Team Manager.
“Many of us have been lucky enough to know Megan for some time, particularly given her previous role with our naming rights partner, Viva Energy. We know exactly what she can bring to this role and we’re absolutely rapt to be confirming this appointment,” Executive Chairman Dr Ryan Story said.

“As we worked through an extensive and thorough process to find the next CEO, Megan was the clear standout candidate given her wide ranging experience and understanding of the Shell V-Power Racing Team brand.
“Following the recently confirmed changes to our driver line up and our team management, we know we now have the structure in place to do something special in 2026 and beyond. We’ve made no secret about our ambitions moving forward. We’re here to win Championships and appointments like this show how hard we’re pushing to ensure we recruit the best talent to deliver big wins on and off track.”
Johnson said: “I’ve known Megan for many years now and am over the moon to have her coming on board as our next CEO.
“My mate Wayne Cattach was one of those who also made the move from the Viva Energy family to DJR, and he ended up in the Supercars Hall of Fame. We all know the calibre of people Viva recruits, so we know that Megan will get things done and will lead our organisation to new heights and strong performances across all our departments.”
DJR co-owner Brett Ralph added: “It’s been an honour getting to spend time with Megan recently and hear about her ambitions for this proud organisation.
“Her experience and strategic expertise will benefit the Shell V-Power Racing Team significantly and allow us to grow, prosper and deliver exciting new initiatives to the Repco Supercars Championship.”
Foster was keen to continue on with Johnson, Dr Story and Ralph, adding: “I am thrilled to be joining the Shell V-Power Racing Team and to soon be contributing to the amazing legacy this team has delivered within Australian motorsport since 1980 when Dick Johnson Racing was founded.
“To be working again with Dick, Brett and Shaun (Ralph) and Ryan, along with the entire Shell V-Power Racing Team is a real honour.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with some great organisations in my career, including Viva Energy, with the Shell brand being such a big part of the history at Dick Johnson Racing. The opportunity to re-join the DJR family, help drive the organisation forward and fight for Championships is one I am really excited for.
“I cannot wait to get to the Stapylton workshop in 2026, get to know our talented staff further and meet our loyal fans and broader partner network.”
