Long-time engineer Little recently passed away
Cars to carry Little tribute stickers at Sandown
The late Campbell Little will be honoured at this weekend’s Penrite Oil Sandown 500, following the decorated engineer's recent passing.
Little, one of the most influential, decorated and respected engineers in Supercars and Australian motorsport as a whole, passed away last month.
News of Little's passing triggered widespread tributes from the motorsport community, with drivers, teams and colleagues all sharing stories and messages.
To honour his memory, all Supercars entered in this weekend's event will carry stickers paying tribute to Little on the rear windscreen.
Little will also be acknowledged before Sunday's 500km race with a moment's silence.
Team 18 driver Mark Winterbottom, who was engineered by Little during their respective tenures at Ford Performance Racing, was honoured to help celebrate his late colleague's life at Sandown.
"Campbell was a very important person, for the sport and in life," two-time Sandown 500 winner Winterbottom told Supercars.com.
"He was a really good bloke, and I'm really proud to run this on the car.
"While I don't need a sticker to remember him, this is a great tribute, and an honour to one of the greatest people that we've ever seen in the sport."
He won five Bathurst 1000s and two drivers' championships, working with teams including Stone Brothers Racing, Triple Eight Race Engineering, Ford Performance Racing and Dick Johnson Racing.
Most famously, Little helped Craig Lowndes and Triple Eight to an emotional Bathurst victory in 2006, in the weeks after Peter Brock's death.
Track action at Sandown will commence on Friday.
