Supercars arrives in Surfers Paradise for Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500

Supercars has officially arrived on the Gold Coast, as team transporters drove through Main Beach’s Tedder Avenue this morning en route to the Surfers Paradise street circuit ahead of this weekend’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast.

Teams will be setting up in their garages today and tomorrow before on-track action begins Friday, with three full days of action headlined by the penultimate race event of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship season.

Former Gold Coast race winner and two-time Bathurst 1000 winner Will Davison was on Tedder Ave this morning as the transporters rolled through, and spoke about the weekend ahead where hundreds of thousands are expect to attend.

Erebus Motorsport’s Brodie Kostecki leads the Supercars drivers’ championship over Shane van Gisbergen with just four races remaining in the 2023 season.

Van Gisbergen swept last year’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, and is coming off his third Repco Bathurst 1000 victory earlier this month, where Kostecki finished runner-up.

On-track action at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 begins Friday, with Supercars races taking place on Saturday and Sunday.

Queensland’s largest annual sporting event will also play host to three nights of pumping music acts, including headlining acts The Presets, Client Liaison, and Illy set to thrill eventgoers into the Gold Coast nights.
