Ford Performance Racing's Cam Waters managed to edge his title rivals in the closing stages of the Dunlop Series final practice session, ahead of today's Wilson MedicOne Enduro.

Waters, who will start this afternoon's 250 kilometre haul from fourth on the grid, spent most of the session at the bottom of the time sheets, but his time of a 2min08.1680 set as the chequered flag came out saw him clock the quickest time of the 15 minute session.

Kiwi Andre Heimgartner was adrift by 0.2405secs, while fellow countryman Chris Pither was third quickest in the warm up.

Ash Walsh and Andrew Jones were fourth and fifth in the session, ahead of pole-sitter Paul Dumbrell, Ant Pedersen and Gary Jacobson - an Eggleston Motorsport lockout.

The top 10 was rounded out by Morgan Haber and Paul Morris.

The warm-up was incident free - the first Dunlop Series session that hasn't been red flagged this weekend.

After Jack Le Brocq's heavy-impact incident between turns six and seven in qualifying yesterday, the 22-year-old was slowest in the warm-up, while Josh Kean encountered an issue in the session when the rear of his Commodore began to smoke up.
