As Cameron Waters edged the field again in final practice, Paul Morris endured a fiery start to the weekend whenhis car burst into flames in the dying stages of the 40-minute session.

'The Dude' immediately made his way into pit lane where he was met by crews trying to extinguish the flames. He iscurrently being attended to at the medical centre.

Oil residue was spilt over the track as a result of the incident, which caught out Brad Jones Racing's Andrew Jones and Macauley Jones on their way to pit lane, getting stuck in the gravel trap at turn six.

Meanwhile, Waters fast time of a 1min10.69 saw him claim the top spot for the second time today, beating out Jack le Brocq by .6 seconds.

Garry Jacobson rounded out the top three quickest and was followed by Todd Hazelwood, who held the top spot for the session's majority.
