Dunlop Super2 Series racer Todd Hazelwood will return to the championship in 2017 with new backer Bigmate adorning his Matt Stone Racing Holden VF Commodore.

Hazelwood will compete in his fourth Dunlop Super2 Series campaign after switching to the New Generation car for 2016.

The South Australian finished third in last year’s series, securing four podium places.

“I am very proud to reveal Bigmate as our new naming rights partner for 2017,” Hazelwood said.

“The car looks fantastic and I am really looking forward to what success we can achieve working together this season both on and off track.

“2017 marks my fourth year into the Dunlop Super2 Series, and it is incredible to have support from so many people and brands... I cannot wait to represent each and every one of the them on track in the Bigmate Racing Supercar this year.

“This season will also see my continued partnership with iseek Communications, along with major support from Truck Dealers Australia, GRK Plumbing and Venn IT Solutions.”

Hazelwood will test his car at Queensland Raceway on Thursday.

Bigmate will also expanded into Australian Touring Car Masters, backing Jason Gommersell’s Torana A9X.

“We are delighted to be coming on as naming rights partner for Bigmate Racing,” Bigmate Managing Director Mark Shield said.

“Our vehicle tracking technology is all about accuracy, speed and reliability, which aligns perfectly with how Jason, Todd and Matt Stone Racing approach their motor sport.”
