The Triple Eight Race Engineering has been a class above in 2021; he won the first race in Bathurst in February, and three more in Townsville.

Feeney, who turned 19 in October, will become the youngest Super2 title winner should he convert this weekend.

The Mountain is calling for an epic finale

If he wraps up the title in Friday's Race 1, he will be aged 19 years, one month and 15 days.

Three drivers have won Super2 titles as teenagers; Dean Canto (2000), Paul Dumbrell (2002) and Scott McLaughlin (2012).

Feeney was just 10 years old when McLaughlin claimed the title on the streets of Homebush aged 19 years, five months and 22 days.

McLaughlin had a remarkable Supercars career from there; he was recruited by Garry Rogers Motorsport and won eight races for the team between 2013 and 2016.

He then shifted to DJR Team Penske and won a Ford record 48 races and three drivers' titles on the bounce between 2018 and 2020.

Feeney's future is already assured; he will replace the retiring Jamie Whincup at Red Bull Ampol Racing in 2022.

The teenager made the leap to Super2 in 2020 with Tickford Racing, having won the Super3 title the year before.

Feeney will be on double duty this weekend; he will dovetail his Super2 commitments with a Great Race wildcard alongside two-time Bathurst winner Russell Ingall.

Ingall can become the oldest ever Bathurst winner, and Feeney the youngest, should they claim victory on Sunday.

Super2 and Super3 drivers will hit the track on Wednesday for Practice 1 at 10:15am AEDT. Click here to view the track schedule.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 503) and streamed on Kayo.
