Broc Feeney can clinch his first Super2 title this weekend when the Dunlop Series resumes at the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Six drivers are in mathematical contention for the 2021 Super2 crown, but Feeney holds effective match point.

Feeney leads Tickford Racing driver Zak Best by 129 points, with MW Motorsport’s Jayden Ojeda six points behind Best.

Realistically, only Best and Ojeda stand a chance in denying Feeney a title before he makes the leap to the main game in 2022.

Ojeda’s teammate Tyler Everingham, the last start winner in Sydney, is 270 points from Feeney in fourth.

The Mountain is calling for an epic finale

Matt Chahda and Eggleston Motorsport rookie Matt McLean are 279 and 291 points from the leader.

With 300 points on offer, one of these six will win the title. However, the weekend will feature two 150-point races, meaning Feeney can wrap up the title in Friday’s first race.

Feeney, who has won four races in 2021, needs only to outscore Best by 21 points, and Ojeda by 15, to wrap up the title on Friday.

Should Best win Race 1, Feeney must finish third or better to clinch the title.

If 19-year-old Feeney wins the title, he will become the youngest driver to win a Super2 crown since Scott McLaughlin in 2012.

Feeney turned 19 in October; McLaughlin turned 19 mid-season in 2012 when he won the title on the streets of Sydney Olympic Park.

The three drivers in realistic title contention

McLaughlin is the only teenager Super2 title winner; Dean Canto and Paul Dumbrell were aged 20 when they won in 2000 and 2002 respectively.

Current main game drivers Cameron Waters and Bryce Fullwood were aged 21 when they won in 2015 and 2019 respectively.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship and Dunlop Series seasons will conclude at the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Super2 and Super3 drivers will hit the track on Wednesday for Practice 1 at 10:15am AEDT. Click here to view the track schedule.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 503) and streamed on Kayo.

The Seven Network will provide live free to air coverage of the event. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
