Matters arising from Race 2:

Following an investigation and an admission by Car #54 Eggleston Motorsport that a team member had crossed the fast lane before the last car had passed that garage, the Stewards imposed a fine of $500.

For a false start, the Stewards applied a five second time penalty to be added to Jay Verdnik Car #54 Race time.

Following an investigation and an admission by Chris Pither Car #42 that he drove in a careless manner, contact on Car #44 Josh Hunter, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a loss 25 Championship Points.

Further Matters from Race 1:

Following an investigation and an admission by Daniel Gaunt #38 that he had driven in a careless manner, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 2 Grid Positions for Race 2.

UPDATE 1, 0900hrs Saturday 1st March 2013

Matters arising from Race 1:

During the starting procedure the yellow light illuminated for approximately a quarter of a second just before the Red light went out. The Stewards considered that all Cars started the Race evenly, and that no Competitor was significantly disadvantaged.

Although there was a small error at the Start but with good behavior of the field and having regard to the time constraints the Stewards determined that it was in the best interests of the Series that the race continued uninterrupted.

The Bad Sportsmanship Flag was displayed to the following Cars for three breaches of kerb hopping at Turn 2

  • Car #30 Nick McBride 

  • Car #60 Michael Hector 

  • Car #10 Taz Douglas

The Stewards imposed a PLP during the Race on Car #60 Michael Hector for the fourth kerb hopping breach.

Following an investigation and an admission by Chris Pither Car #42 that he had driven in a careless manner, contact on Car #30 Nick McBride, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 15 Championship points.

The Stewards imposed a fine of $500 on Nandi Kiss for allowing Car #24 Chris Alajajian to move out of its pit bay before the previous car had entered the fast lane.

Matters arising from Qualifying:

There were no issues.

Matters arising from Practice:

Following an investigation and an admission by Andre Heimgartner Car #64 that he breached Rule D12.5.8.4, worked on the car in the fast lane, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a fine $500.

Following an investigation and an admission by Andre Heimgartner Car #64 that he breached Rule D12.5.9.1 left Pit bay prior to the opening of Pit exit, the Stewards imposed a fine of $350.

Following an investigation and an admission by Josh Hunter Car #44 to a breach of rule G1.6 the Competitor is responsible for all safety aspects of the Competitor’s Car, in that the vehicle lost a wheel, the Stewards imposed a fine of $2,500 with $1,500 suspended until 31/12/13. Page 1 of 2

Other Matters:

The Team Manager for Matt Stone Racing Car #35 and Car #87 failed to attend the briefing and was issued with a $250 fine notice.

The Team Manager for Nandi Kiss Car #24 arrived after the briefing had commenced and was issued with a $125 fine notice.
