UPDATE 3, (Final) 2300hrs Sunday 28th July 2013

Matters arising from Race 3:

During the race Car #35 George Miedecke served a PLP for team personnel still on the grid after the sounding and displaying of the One minute board and siren.

A time penalty of 27 seconds equivalent to a PLP was added to Car #67 Paul Morris race time for careless driving, causing contact to Car #26 Dale Wood.

The IO is to investigate the following alleged breaches at the next round, Winton

  • Car #44 and #64, D3.5.3 - Two Team Members crossing the fast lane

  • Car #10, D3.5.2 - Team Member crossing the fast lane

  • Incident involving Car #51 Jim Pollicina and Car #30 Nick McBride

  • Incident involving Car #10 Taz Douglas and car #87 Ash Walsh

The IO investigated the following incident with no breach of rule established;

  • Aaren Russell Car #59 and Marcus Zukanovic Car #71

Matters arising from Race 2:

Following an investigation and an admission by Nick McBride Car #30 had driven in a careless manner, causing contact to Car #777 Rodney Jane Turn 2, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a deduction of 25 Series points.

Following an investigation and an admission by Michael Hector Car #60 had driven in a careless manner, causing contact to Car #999 Garry Jacobson Turn 5, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a deduction of 15 Series points.

Following an investigation and an admission by Taz Douglas Car #10 had driven in a careless manner, causing contact to Car #20 Andrew Jones at Turn 4, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a deduction of 15 Series points.

Following an investigation and an admission by Car #43 Sam Walter that a team member had crossed the fast lane before the last car had passed that garage, the Stewards imposed a fine of $500. 

UPDATE 2, 1130hrs Sunday 28th July 2013

Matters arising from Race 1:

During the race the Stewards imposed the following Pit Lane Penalties on:

  • Car #48 Geoff Emery, careless driving contact to Car #27 Casey Stoner

  • Car #48 Geoff Emery, exceeding the Pit Lane Speed Limit (44kph)

  • Car #98 Cameron Waters careless driving contact to Car #777 Rodney Jane

The Mechanical Black flag was displayed to Car #31 Kristian Lindbom for body damage.

Post-race the IO investigated the following matters;

  • Car #999 Garry Jacobson alleged careless driving incident involving Car #44 Joshua Hunter, no breach of rule established

  • Car #98 Cameron Waters alleged careless driving incident involving Car #44 Joshua Hunter and Car #31 Kristian Lindbom, no breach of rule established.

UPDATE 1, 1100hrs Saturday 27th July 2013

Matters arising from Qualifying:

The IO investigated the following incidents from the session with no breach of rule established:

  • Aaron McGill Car #75 and Drew Russell Car #58

  • Daniel Gaunt Car #38 and Aaren Russell Car #59

Other Matters arising from Race 3 Townsville:

Following an investigation and an admission by Brett Stewart Car #73 had driven in a careless manner, causing contact to Car #64 Andre Heimgartner at Turn 2 in Race 3, the Stewards imposed the penalty of a deduction of 15 Series points on Brett Stewart.

The IO investigated an incident involving Rodney Jane Car #777 and Drew Russell Car #58 from the race, with no breach of rule established.

Matters arising from Practice 2:

Car #67 Paul Morris was fined $350 for exceeding the Pit Lane speed limit. (44kph)

Matters arising from Practice 1:

There were no issues.

Other Matters arising:

Following an investigation and an admission by the following Teams in that they had breached Supplementary Regulation 3.1.2, Team transporters had entered the Dunlop Support paddock prior to 0800hrs without DOM approval, the Stewards imposed a $1,000 fine with $500 being suspended until the 31st December 2013 on each Team:

  • Jim Pollicina

  • Matt Stone Racing

  • MW Motorsport
