Jayden Ojeda has fired the first shot of the Dunlop Series finale at Mount Panorama with the quickest time in Practice 1.

The MW Motorsport driver led for the balance of the 40-minute session, before he lowered his own marker late on.

Ojeda led a MW Motorsport one-two, with Tyler Everingham 0.175s down on his teammate's session-topping 2:07.170s.

Points leader Broc Feeney was third on a 2:07.345s, with Super2 rookie Matt Payne fourth aboard his Grove Motorsport Altima.

Tickford Racing driver Zak Best, who is the closest challenger to Feeney, was fifth all told, 0.538s from the top.

Just five drivers were within a second of Ojeda's time, with Jordan Boys, Matt McLean, Josh Fife, Aaron Seton and Tim Blanchard rounding out the top 10.

The session featured a number of dramas; Seton notably brushed the tyre barriers at Griffin's Bend following dual offs at The Chase.

Super3 driver Reef McCarthy survived a major off at The Chase and brought his car to a halt on Mountain Straight.

Jaylyn Robotham also crawled back to pit lane due to a suspected wheel nut issue.

Ojeda set the early pace with a 2:08.337s, before Boys jumped into the 2:07s with a 2:07.892s.

Great Race Matt Stone Racing co-driver Ojeda, who took pole at Mount Panorama in February, went even faster with a 2:07.347s.

Super2 drivers will return to the track on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30pm AEDT. Click here to view the track schedule.

Every session of the event will be broadcast live on Foxtel (Fox Sports 503) and streamed on Kayo.
