A reverse top 10 grid made for an interesting Race Two of Dunlop Series on day three at the Sucrogen Townsville 400.

Championship contender Ash Walsh had a shocking start losing any advantage from starting on pole, while owner/driver Paul Morris from Paul Morris Motorsports made a clear lead, driving home to first position.

Matt Stone Racing’s George Miedecke also had a good run finishing second, while Brad Jones Racing’s Andrew Jones came in third.

There was plenty of action mid-pack with Casey Stoner making up 14 places after having started from 29th.

The ex-Moto GP World Champ demonstrated quality V8 Supercar racing, dicing with West Australian, Brett Stewart mid-race and pipped Rodney Jane at the post to jump into 14th.

Matt White Motorsport’s Dale Wood finished in fourth followed by yesterday’s race winner Steve Owen. Kristian Lindbom, Aaren Russell, Walsh, Daniel Gaunt and Jack Perkins made up the top 10

Owen, who is also endurance co-driver for Ford’s Pepsi Max Crew’s Will Davison, will start Race Three from box one.
