Maiden pole for Le Brocq

Jack Le Brocq has surged to his first pole in the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series, leading home series contenders Cameron Waters and Paul Dumbrell.

Jack Le Brocq has taken his maiden ARMOR ALL Pole Position this morning, placing him in the first grid spot for this afternoon’s 17-lapper.

Le Brocq – who pilots Chris Pither’s Ice Break Racing Falcon this weekend – secured pole with an outstanding lap, clocking a 1min29.26 around the Sydney Olympic Park circuit.

He was trailed by series leader Cameron Waters, adrift of the pole sitter by 0.16secs.

Paul Dumbrell will start the final race of the season from the second row of the grid in third, alongside TEKNO Autosports team owner Jonathon Webb in the Image Racing entry in fourth.

Andrew Jones and Todd Hazewlood were fifth and sixth respectively, while Garry Jacobson was the second Eggleston Motorsport Commodore home in seventh.

Aaren Russell, Shae Davies and James Golding rounding out the top ten.

Macauley Jones was on the fringes of the top ten in 11th, followed by Simon Evans, Bryce Fullwood and Josh Kean.

Aaron McGill failed to qualify as a result of his incident with Liam McAdam in yesterday’s race.

The final race of the Dunlop Series will get underway at 2.20pm this afternoon.
