The pair start the weekend in title contention - albeit Le Brocq largely mathematical - Hazelwood 49 points behind Paul Dumbrell and Le Brocq 196.

Stepping up to Supercars with Erebus in 2018, Anton De Pasquale was third, with Will Brown and Macauley Jones completing the top five.

Dumbrell wound up sixth, having made a pair of trips up the Turn 1 escape road.

The session was red-flagged early, when Mason Barbera crashed his Garry Rogers Motorsport heavily.

Barbera tagged the wall at Turn 5, and then went head-on into the Turn 6 tyres.“I think there is a fair bit of damage, it felt like there is a fair bit of damage,” Barbera said.

The Dunlop Super2 Series will be back on-track 2:10pm AEDT for the final practice session before qualifying on Saturday morning.
